No switch where one is needed
We all know the situation: The bedroom has been newly furnished, and suddenly the light switch is hidden behind a wardrobe. Our daughter is used to switching the ceiling light on and off directly from her bedside table. Plus, the roller shutter switch is now located in the most inconvenient place possible. In almost every home, sooner or later, you encounter a situation where a switch has been placed in the wrong location – or is missing entirely where it is needed.
Easily relocate light switches
A compact Busch-free@home®️ in-wall actuator combined with the wireless Smart Switch wireless makes the perfect solution for the challenges in our home: switches can be placed exactly where they are needed, without having to chase out walls, install new wiring, or undertake extensive renovation work.
What particularly appeals to us is the seamless integration into our existing Busch-Jaeger switch setup from the proven and popular Future Linear range. Visually, everything looks as though it belongs together: The new switches blend harmoniously into the existing interior design and do not look at all like smart home accessories that have been bolted on afterwards. That is exactly what makes this solution practical – it adds convenience without changing the style of the home.
Smart retrofitting – with complete flexibility
And there is another advantage: Smart Switch wireless works without a battery and generates the energy it needs itself when the button is pressed. This eliminates the need to replace batteries, making the switch permanently maintenance-free. At the same time, it can be installed wherever it is needed – for example, on a wall, on furniture, or in a location where no switch had previously been planned. It can be easily connected wirelessly to the in-wall actuators wired at the original location, under the original switch.
The solution is also pleasantly flexible from a technical perspective: lights and roller shutters can still be operated as usual using the switch, but can additionally be controlled via the Busch-free@home®️ App Next or even get automations assigned: an astro function for the roller shutter, or a day/night setting for the dimming level of a light. This allows individual rooms to become smarter step by step – without a complete renovation and with the option of expanding the system at any time in the future.
