I have used an early Eve Room (battery-powered) connected to Apple A1624 2015 HD device for years. Eve works fine. I want to switch to an Eve Room 3 (USB C cable powered) to avoid low battery dropout during multi-month absences. I want to continue to remote access Eve 3 via Wifi/remote access. A1624 does not do Thread per my research, the standard way to get Eve 3 on the Wifi. I don't want to buy another expensive Apple TV device when I do not need 4K features. Options? Eve Extend? Some other cheaper solution?
